Require Email Template

You can configure your custom setting to require email templates in Conga General Settings or through the Conga Contract Setup tab. If you don't have an existing custom setting, Send for Negotiation defaults to not require an email template. To configure the Send for Negotiation's default behavior to require an email template if you do not have an existing custom setting, take the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Conga Contract Setup in Salesforce.
  2. Under Email Templates, click on Select to go to Custom Setting.
  3. Click New
  4. Check Email Require Template
  5. Click Save.

To change the Send for Negotiation's default behavior to require an email template if you have an existing custom setting, take the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Conga Contract Setup in Salesforce.
  2. Under Email Templates, click on Select to go to Custom Setting.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Check Email Require Template.
  5. Click Save.

Template Default

The Template Default field in Conga Contracts Setup sets a specific Email Template as the default Email Template in the Send for Negotiation user interface. Users have the option to use the default Email Template or select other available Email Templates. If an Email Template Folder is selected in Conga Contracts Setup, users can only select Email Templates from that specific folder. To select a default email template, take the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Conga Contract Setup in Salesforce.
  2. Under Email Templates, select the folder you want as the default from the dropdown menu.
  3. The following confirmation message appears: Email folder template saved.
