New Features and Enhancements

The following features are new to Conga CLM in this release.

Navigating to the Contract Request List Page

Users are now navigated directly to the Contract Request list page within the My Requests tab. For more information, see Creating a Contract Request.

Role-based Access Permissions for User

Administrators can assign or revoke permissions on Account, Contact, and Agreement objects based on user roles, enabling users to create, read, update, and delete information on Account and Contact pages. For more information, see Managing Roles and Permission Groups, Creating an Account, Deleting Accounts, Managing Account's Contact Details, Managing Account's Contract Details, Creating a Contact, Deleting Contacts, and Managing Contact's Contract Details.

Auto-activation of contracts

To enable auto-activation of contracts, administrators can configure the settings using the /api/config-management/v1/configurations endpoint.  A scheduler periodically checks for contracts that have status category as In Signatures, status as Fully Signed, and the start date as the current date. After these contracts are activated, an email notification containing the executed contract document and other documents is sent to the specified user or user group. For more information, see Activating a Contract.

Modified Preview Document API

The /api/clm/v1/contracts/{contractId}/previewdocument is modified to allow previewing a contract document irrespective of the contract status category and status.

Obligation Object Support in Data Sync. Feature

The Data Sync feature in CLM on Conga Platform now supports the Obligation object. Administrators can synchronize Obligation object data between Conga Platform and Salesforce instances.

List of Fields for Obligation Object in Schema

The Obligation object includes all the fields in the schema, accessible under Admin Console > Schema Manager. For more information, see Managing Admin Console.

Action Permissions for Approvals

An administrator can assign the following action permissions on the Agreement object for Approvals. For more information, see Managing Roles and Permissions.

  • Preview & Submit
  • My Approvals

Based on the permissions configured for Approvals within the Permission Group, the user can see the Preview & Submit and My Approvals buttons on the Contract Details page for a contract record. For more information, see Preview & Submit and My Approvals.

The All Contracts link is added in the Contract Apps navigation menu. You can view all contracts accessible to you under the 'All Contracts' tab, regardless of the creator. These include the contracts you've created, the contracts where you are owner, and the contracts shared with you by other users. For more information, see Viewing Contracts from My Contracts.
The existing My Contracts link is enhanced to allow viewing all the contracts you've created under the 'My Contracts' tab. Even if the ownership of a contract has been transferred or it has been shared with another user, it will still appear in your 'My Contracts' list, as long as you were the original creator. For more information, see Viewing Contracts from All Contracts.

Default Email Template for eSignatures

While sending documents for eSignatures, the users are displayed contents from default email template, which they can customize if needed. For eSignature through DocuSign, the default email template contents are displayed if the DocuSign Templates Enabled toggle button is turned off. For more information, see Sending Documents for eSignature with Conga Sign, Sending Documents for eSignature with Adobe Sign, Sending Documents for eSignature with DocuSign, and Configuring DocuSign Parameters in Conga Platform.

Enhanced File Size Support

Users can now import offline documents of up to 500 MB size. For more information, see Importing Offline Documents.

Editing Ownership Based on Field-level Permissions

Administrators can set field-level permissions to allow users to edit the Owner type or Owner fields. For more information, see Managing Roles and Permissions and Editing a Contract.
