Install and Setup the DocuSign AppLauncher for Salesforce

DocuSign has announced the end of life for DocuSign for Salesforce 7 as of October 16, 2026. DocuSign has de-listed the eSignature for Salesforce app and DocuSign7 from the Salesforce App Exchange. You will need to install and set up the DocuSign AppLauncher for Salesforce application.
Note: You may begin this migration process as early as October 3rd.
  1. Follows the steps in this article to install or enable the DocuSign AppLauncher in your Salesforce org.
  2. Install the latest Composer package. All Composer users will receive a production auto-push of the new Composer package on October 3rd.
  3. In your Salesforce Org, navigate to Composer Setup > Integration Partners > eSignature, then select DocuSign.
  4. If you are planning on using background mode parameters for your DocuSign solutions, proceed to the following step.
    1. In the DocuSign Setup menu, input your API Account ID, Account Email, Recipient Role Settings. Click the Connect to DocuSign button, then click Allow. You can check the Connection Status to verify your integration has been successfully authorized.
    2. Generate a new DocuSign Password: Login to your DocuSign account (account-d.docusign.com/me), navigate to Privacy & Security > App Passwords > Generate App Password. Give your password a name and copy the generated value, as it will only appear once. Paste that value into the DocuSign Password field within the setup menu. Click Save Credentials.
  5. Migrate your existing Composer/DocuSign solutions.
    1. Identify all of your existing Composer solutions that contain the DocuSign7 parameter.
    2. Add or modify the value of & DocuSign7=2 to each solution. This will have the Composer solution merge through the DocuSign AppLauncher package. Existing Composer solutions and parameters will be automatically migrated to the DocuSign AppLauncher package.
    3. Note: Take note that the some DocuSign parameters that were interactive are now exclusively background mode parameters. Refer to DocuSign Legacy Parameters for more details.

    4. Test your solutions and verify they are now merging through the DocuSign AppLauncher package.
