Install Conga Trigger

Note:

Installing Conga Trigger is OPTIONAL. You do not need to install Conga Trigger to get started with Conga Composer. Conga Trigger is an add-on and must be installed separately. Conga Trigger must also be activated by the Conga support team.

Note:

Tabs in the Conga Trigger managed package count against your Salesforce organization's tab limit. Be mindful of this when installing.

To install Conga Trigger:

  1. Click the appropriate link to install Conga Trigger (Version 8.34) in your Salesforce environment:
  2. Enter the Salesforce credentials for the instance where Conga Trigger will be installed and log in to Salesforce.
  3. Select a security level for the Conga Trigger application.
    1. Conga recommends selecting Install for All Users.
  4. Click Install.
    1. An Installation Complete! alert appears, confirming the Conga Batch package has been installed successfully.
  5. Click Done.

Updating Conga Trigger

Conga Trigger is not automatically updated, and must be manually updated from the Conga Community Install Center. Conga Trigger managed package updates are aligned with the tri-yearly Composer update in February, June and October.
Note: It is recommended to test your Trigger solutions in a Sandbox environment before installing in Production.
  1. Log in to the Conga Community Portal.
  2. Navigate to Get started > Install Center tab
  3. In My Packages navigation window, select Composer
  4. In Conga Trigger tile, select the environment in which you want to install the packages:
    1. Click Install in Production to install the packages in your production org
    2. Click Install in Sandbox to install the packages in your sandbox org
  5. In the Salesforce login screen, enter your login credentials and click Log In
  6. Select a security level for the Conga Trigger application
    1. Conga recommends selecting Install for All Users
  7. Click Install
Once the environment you have chosen is updated, Conga recommends the following post update actions:
  • Verify integration/refresh tokens are valid in Conga Trigger Setup

    • "Salesforce Refresh Token" establishes the OAuth connection user and must be valid for Conga Trigger to work
