This article describes how to create merge fields in HTML email templates.

Follow these steps:

1. Click Template Builder in the Conga Composer window.
2. Click the radio button for the Email template type.
3. Click the Conga Email Templates tab and create a record.
4. Enter a description and basic information about the new template.
5. (Optional) Save the record, then click Advanced Editor to further edit the body of the template.
6. Copy the desired merge fields from the Template Builder.
7. Save the record.
