Conga Composer has the unique ability to use data from a Salesforce Report or Conga Query as detail data (for example, invoice line items for each invoice). Because reports and queries can retrieve multiple rows of data, Conga Composer uses detail regions to dynamically grow an area on a slide to accommodate an unlimited number of detail rows.

Detail Regions let you identify a portion of your template that can dynamically grow. Merge fields, along with any other text, placed within a Detail Region will automatically repeat for each row of detail data.

In PPTX templates, you can define detail regions in three ways:

• Table-based detail region
• Slide-based detail region
• Group-based detail region
