Using Composer with Conga Orchestrate

Conga Composer integrates with Conga Orchestrate, allowing you automatically generate a document using a Mix template, collaborate template, or a Conga Composer template, solution, or button and save the resulting document to the process object in Salesforce. For more information about Conga Orchestrate, refer to the Conga Orchestrate documentation.

This topic provides the use case for generating a document using the Conga Orchestrate.

Note:

This use case gives one example of how to generate a Legal Document automatically using the Composer button configured with Conga Orchestrate. You can use this feature differently to generate other documents. Talk with your administrator to configure the Conga Orchestrate and Composer solutions to suit your business need.

For example, if the administrator wants you (as an account executive) to be able to generate a Legal Document automatically when the Status field of a Contract Agreement is set to Draft, the administrator creates a Composer Solution in Conga Composer and Process Definition & Steps in Conga Orchestrate. When you change the status to Draft, it automatically generates a legal document as per your composer solution.

To generate a document automatically

Note:

We use the Contract Agreements object to generate the Legal Document for this use case; however, it can be different depending on your business needs.

  1. Click the App Icon () > Search and select Contract Agreements.
  2. Click the desired contact agreement from the list.
  3. Change the Status field to Draft.
    Note:

Refer to the following topics for more information on how to create and setup Process Definition & Steps in Conga Orchestrate:
