Conga Templates, also known as Conga Template Manager, are records that are created from the Conga Template custom object. Conga Template Manager stores document templates for Conga Composer.

To add a template

  1. Navigate to the Conga Templates Salesforce tab.
  2. Click New.
  3. Give your template record a descriptive name. This is the display name that will show in the Composer UI.
  4. (Optional) Add a description to your template as necessary.
  5. (Optional) In the Template Group field, type a template group name (if using the TemplateGroup parameter in your Composer solution).
  6. (Optional) In the Master Field to Set fields, enter up to three master object fields to update whenever the template is merged. Follow the syntax as specified in the Help Text on the Salesforce field.
  7. Click Save.
  8. On the Conga Template page, find the Files related list and follow the steps to upload your template file to the record.

It is possible to use the Notes & Attachments related list, but it is recommended to update the page layout to use Files. Salesforce is deprecating Notes & Attachments and it should no longer be used.

Do not use a colon in document file names.
