Using Composer with Salesforce Shield Encryption
Conga Composer users can successfully merge data in Salesforce orgs with Salesforce Shield Encryption enabled. To merge fields encrypted with Salesforce Shield Encryption, create a new View Encrypted Data Permission Set and assign it to user, or assign the View Encrypted Data system permission to User Profiles.
The recommended method is to create and assign a Permission Set with the View Encrypted Data permission enabled.
Create and Assign a View Encrypted Data Permission Set
Navigate to Salesforce Setup.
In the Quick Find search box, type inPermission Sets.
ClickPermission Sets.
ClickNewto create a new Permission Set
Name the LabelView Encrypted Dataand the API NameView_Encrypted_Data.
ClickSave.
Under the System Permission section, clickSystem Permissions.
ClickEdit.
Check the View Encrypted Data checkbox
ClickSave.
ClickManage Assignments.
ClickAdd Assignments.
Select all users that need to merge encrypted data with the checkbox field.
ClickAssign.
Assign the View Encrypted Data Permission
You can only assign the View Encrypted Data permission to a custom profile.
Navigate to Salesforce Setup.
In the Quick Find search box, type inProfiles
ClickProfiles.
Select the User Profile that needs to merge encrypted data.
