Do not enable password protection in the Word Template while also using the WPDPW parameter. In that scenario, Conga Composer will honor the WPDPW parameter's value and override the existing password protection in the template document.

Parameter Description: Word Protected Document Password

Specifies the password with which a Word document is protected and locks the Word document to prevent editing.

Users must enter the specified password to enable editing in the Word document.

To enable editing in Word:

  1. Click the File tab in the Word document.
  2. Click the Protect Document dropdown.
  3. Select Restrict Editing.
  4. Click the Stop Protection button on the right-hand sidebar.
  5. Enter the specified password and click OK.
