Comparing Clauses with AI Comparison

Perform a semantic comparison between clauses instead of a character-to-character comparison. After the comparison is complete, you are then notified of similarities and differences between the selected clauses. You can compare up to seven clauses at a time.
  • You can perform AI Comparison for the replaced clause from a managed clause and any other standard clause from the Clause playbook on the Negotiate screen.

  • You can perform AI Comparison between a negotiated clauses and earlier clauses on the True-Up screen.

  • If datatags are missing, the comparison button will not be available for these clauses.

  1. Click the View Redlines button on your Salesforce object to access the View Redlines user interface.
  2. Click Negotiate or True-Up.
  3. Click on a clause in the left menu to open the Clause Playbook.
  4. Enable the AI Comparison toggle.
Note: Clicking the toggle again will set AI Comparison back to disabled and the AI Comparison user interface will not display in the Clause Playbook.
  5. In the list of available clauses for selection in the Clause Playbook, click the Add to AI Comparison toggle on up to seven (7) clauses. If you exceed this number, you receive an error message.
  6. Once your clauses are selected, click the AI Comparison button to view similarities and differences between the document value and Salesforce flow. Click the X button if you want to cancel the process.
Note: While AI Comparison is processing, there is either a yellow or green progress icon beside your clause in the left menu. Yellow indicates that AI Comparison is currently processing. Green indicates that processing has successfully completed.
Warning: You can continue to work in the Negotiate page while AI Comparison is processing. However, if you try to move to a different page, like between Negotiate and True-Up, processing will stop and be lost. You will receive a warning message if you attempt to move to a different page while processing is still ongoing.
  7. When processing has completed, you can view the AI Comparison results in the Clause Playbook. For each selected clause, there are two sections: Similarities and Differences.
    • In the Similarities section is a percentage score of how similar the two clauses are to one another. For a score of 60%, for example, the system is indicating it detected 60% similarities between the two clauses. There are also additional notes explaining how the clauses are similar.

    • In the Differences section, there is no percentage score but there are notes explaining the differences detected between the two clauses.

Click the arrow buttons to collapse or expand the Similarities and Differences section for each clause. If you want to clear the comparisons, click the X icon.

  8. Click Replace to replace to swap the selected clause into your document.
