Asking Copilot a Question

  1. Copilot opens with the document details on the left and the COPILOT window on the right:

    • How does this work?: This tile links to the Conga Customer Community page's knowledge base (login required).
    • Get Support: This tile links to Conga's Customer Community page to log a support request (login required).
    • Recent chats: This opens the Chat History window containing your recent interactions with Copilot concerning this document.
    • Frequently used prompts: This contains commonly used prompts (questions or requests) that the administrator has configured in advance. Selecting any prompt returns a response from Copilot without your having to enter the prompt.
  2. You can select a frequently used prompt by clicking directly on the question as it appears above the text entry box or by entering a slash in the Frequently used prompts text entry box and selecting one of the pre-configured prompts.
In addition to direct questions about document content, Copilot can perform these simple mathematical operations in its results:
    • Matching-record counts

    • Sums and differences

    • Averages and means

    • Maximum and minimum values

    • Grouping by criteria

  3. If you have a question that is not predicted by a pre-configured frequently used prompt, enter it in the text box.
    Note:

Copilot only answers questions about one document at a time, and the scope of its responses is limited the documents under management.

    Note:

When answering questions about a contract or a document, Copilot answers taking into account all .docx and .pdf documents associated with the document in CLM. Thus, a question about a contract can take in all annexes and addenda, as well as invoices and correspondence related to the account in CLM.

Copilot can respond to positive query logic ("Does the contract have a pandemic clause?) and negative logic ("Does the agreement lack a termination date?").

  4. Click the Send icon () to receive an answer.
  5. Copilot provides updates on its status as it considers your question and forms its answer.
  6. When Copilot returns its answer, you can:
    • Copy the answer to your clipboard by clicking the copy icon ().
    • Regenerate the answer by clicking the repeat icon (). This re-prompts the AI with the question already asked. This is useful if you are not satisfied with the answer.
    • Offer feedback using the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icons. These responses are logged for quality analytics.
    • Offer feedback using the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icons as described in Giving Feedback.
  7. Click the plus-sign icon () to clear the Copilot window for a new chat or to raise the chat history for review. You can also exit Copilot altogether by clicking the go-away icon ().
