After a user with the Scorecard Admin permission has created at least one Scorecard Component and one Answer Profile, they can add a scorecard using a Component and Answer Profile.

Adding a scorecard involves three steps:

  • Designing the scorecard, which includes selecting components (categories and questions) that will be used, and assigning a weight (value) to the scorecard.
  • Adding Restrictions by selecting the types of companies, contracts, and projects that are linked to the scorecard so that it is only available from specific profile types and groups.
  • Defining Validity Options by setting the number of days the scorecard will be available to users, or alternatively, making it a repeating scorecard so that it can be used continually and without any time constraints.

Designing a Scorecard

  1. Click the Gear Icon in the Navigation Toolbar, and click the Scorecards link.
  2. In the Scorecards menu, click Scorecards.
  3. In the Scorecards browse screen, click New Scorecard in the toolbar.
  4. In the Scorecard Administration screen, provide basic information for the scorecard:
    • Enter a name in the Scorecard Name field.
    • Enter a description of what the scorecard is trying to assess in the Scorecard Description field.
    • Select Company, Contract, or Project in the Scorecard Type list based on what the scorecard will be used to evaluate.
    • Assign a numerical weight for the scorecard in the Scorecard Weight field.
    • For example, if you are adding a single scorecard to assess contract fulfillment, and the scorecard will have more than one category, weight the scorecard at 100, and make sure the combined weight of the categories in the My Categories section is also 100.

  5. Add a category to the scorecard by clicking it in the Categories section, and then dragging-and-dropping it into the My Categories section. You are successfully moving the category if the message displays.
    1. (Optional) To quickly locate a category, enter the first few letters of the category name in the Search field, and click .
    2. Optional) To view a list of the questions in a category, locate the category in the Scorecard Components browse screen, and click it to display its Scorecard Component Administration screen.
    3. (Optional) To edit the weight of a category, click in its Weight field and update the value.

      Important:

Ensure the combined weight of the categories you add to the My Categories section is equal to the value in the Scorecard Weight field.

  6. Click Save.

Adding Restrictions

Restrictions identify the Company, Contract, or Project Profiles that should make the scorecard available to users for completion. If you set no restrictions, users will be able to access the scorecard in all profiles.

  1. In the Scorecard Administration screen, click the Restrictions tab.
    • To access this screen, follow Steps 1-2 in Designing a Scorecard, locate the scorecard record, and click it to select it.
  2. Set the company, contract, or project restrictions by making one or more selections in the multi-select lists:
    • Company restrictions - use for company scorecards to identify companies by category, group, and type.
    • Contract restrictions - use for contract scorecards to identify contracts by group, legal entity, agreement type, and type.
    • Project restrictions - use for project scorecards to identify projects by group and type.
  3. Click Save.

Defining Validity Options

Validity options identify the number of days the scorecard will be available to users. However, if a scorecard is designated as a repeating scorecard, it is always available to users.

  1. In the Scorecard Administration screen, click the Advanced Options tab.
    • To access this screen, follow Steps 1-2 in Designing a Scorecard, locate the scorecard record, and click it to select it.
  2. (Optional) Select the Required check box to make this scorecard required.
  3. (Optional) Select the Standard Repeating Scorecard check box to give qualified users the ability to complete the scorecard as many times as they wish.
  4. In the Valid for x Days field, enter the number of days you want the scorecard to be available from the Scorecards link in a Company, Contract, or Project Profile.
  5. Click Save.
