You need the List Admin permission to delete a task list if it is no longer needed by your organization to manage a process or procedure for a company, contract, or project. The individual tasks in a task list can also be deleted.

Deleting a Task List

  1. Click the Gear Icon in the Navigation Toolbar, and click the Task Lists link in the menu.
  2. In the Task List Browse screen, locate the task list you want to delete, and click it to select it.
  3. In the Task List Edit screen, click Delete Task List in the toolbar.
  4. In the Confirm Delete prompt, click Yes.

Deleting a Task in a Task List

  1. Click the Gear Icon in the Navigation Toolbar, and click the Task Lists link in the menu.
  2. In the Task List Browse screen, locate the task list with the list item you want to delete, and click it to select it.
  3. In the Task List Edit screen, locate the task list item you want to delete under the Task List Item Subject header.
  4. Click the delete icon for the task list item.
  5. Click Save.
