Creating a Dimension

Deal guidance at multiple levels supports flexible and scalable pricing governance. At the line-item level, guidance can be defined for individual products or services using configurable parameters aligned to organizational policies. This enables detailed evaluation and control for item-specific pricing and discount scenarios.

In addition, the platform supports summary group (quote-level) guidance, allowing guidance rules to be applied to aggregated values across the quote, such as the grand total. Summary group guidance is particularly valuable for large or complex carts, where evaluating every individual line item is impractical. By resolving guidance at the quote level, businesses can assess pricing and compliance outcomes for the entire cart in a single, consolidated view, aligning guidance evaluation with how pricing and approval decisions are typically made.
