This section provides information on managing user-level private views for the assets grid.

CPQ allows you to create views containing predefined filter values on the Installed Products page. These views help you filter and display asset line items based on your configurations. You can set the custom views based on many parameters such as product, location, charge type, start date, end date, net price. However, you must avoid grouping numeric and pricing-driven fields.

If your administrator has created any view in the Admin UI and shared it with you, you can select the view. However, you cannot edit or delete the view created by your administrator. For more information, see Configuring Installed Products Settings.

To create a view

You can create a view for each flow.

  1. Click Installed Products. The Installed Products Page is displayed.
  2. Click the Views drop-down list and select Create New View. The Create New View dialog box is displayed.
  3. On the Group By tab, select a value from the Group By drop-down. The default field is Product.

The values on the Group By drop-down depend on the fields your administrator has added in the GroupByFields custom setting at Setup > App Setup > Develop > Custom Settings > Installed Product Settings or the Group By field on the ASSET VIEWS tab of the Installed Products settings on the Admin UI. For more information, see Installed Products Settings or Configuring Installed Products Settings.

  4. On the Choose Cart Columns, drag and drop the required columns from the Available list to Viewing list.
  5. Enter a name for the view in the View Name field.
  6. Select the Set as Default check box to make this view as the default view on the Installed Products Page. If you set this view as default, CPQ overrides the out-of-the-box Default view.

  7. Click Save.
