Associating Option Groups with a Product

You can associate more than one option groups with a product. You can add a root option group to a bundle product.

1. On the Product Details page, under USAGE REPORT, click the setup icon in the Option Groups section. The Option Groups page is displayed. Under Available Option Groups, you can see all option groups available in the org.
2. In the Search Option Groups field, enter keywords to search the option group you want to associate with the product and click the search icon or press Enter.

3. Hover the mouse on the required option group and click + next to the option group name. The option group is associated to the product and is displayed in the Associated Option Groups section (right-hand side).

   

   Hover the mouse on the required option group and click the icon next to the option group name to display the options, option group hierarchy, and sub-option group hierarchy with the number of options inside sub-option groups.

4. To delete an associated option group from the product:
   1. Hover the mouse on the required option group under the Associated Option Groups section (right-hand side) and click the delete icon for the option group name. The Remove Option Group pop-up is displayed prompting you to confirm deletion.
   2. Click Confirm.
5. Under the Associated Option Groups section (right-hand side):
   1. Click the option group name link. The option group details pop-up is displayed.
   2. Click Close.
6. To Configure Option Groups:
   1. Click the option group name tab. The Configure Option Group detail page appears.

   2. Enter the following option group information, as required.

      Option	Description
      Min Options	Enter the minimum options that needs to be required for the option group in order to associate it to the product.
      Max Options	Enter the maximum options that needs to be required for the option group in order to associate it to the product.
      Min Total Quantity	Enter the expression for minimum total quantity using the field and function feature provided.
      Max Total Quantity	Enter the expression for maximum total quantity using the field and function feature provided.
      Modifiable Type	Select whether you need a Variable or a Fixed value.
      Is Hidden	Toggle on of off accordingly.
      Is Picklist	Toggle on if the options are picklist.

7. Click Save.

Sequencing the option groups

• Administrator can define and save the sequence/order of option groups and product option groups.
• Reordering is possible by moving groups up or down within the same hierarchy level.
• Adding new groups appends them to the lowest level with sequence numbers incrementing accordingly.
• Administrator can modify the sequence of an option group, then the sequence order on the config page is updated automatically. The Option group sequence only affect the sequence for the groups within their respective bundle levels.
