Enhancements

Updates to Approvals

To enhance the Approvals process, several updates were made.

  • We've removed "Delete" permissions from the following objects. For these objects, we’ve updated the page layouts so the fields are read only. Due to the way Salesforce push upgrades work, the changes to the page layouts will only be available in Salesforce Orgs where a Contracts for Salesforce package is newly installed. The page layout updates won’t be available for Salesforce Orgs that were upgraded to the 2.76 package from a previous version.
    • Approval Request

    • Approval Request Step

    • Managed Approval Step

    • Version Change

    • Version History

  • We've updated error messaging when there are missing permissions on Approval objects. These changes improve the way errors related to missing permissions are presented in the View Redlines user interface during the Approval process. For example, when using Contract Agreement, if a user’s profile does not have access to the Contract Agreement lookup field on Approval Request, an error results in the View Redlines user interface informing them that an access level of Readable is required for the field.

Fixed Issues

The following table lists the issues fixed in this release. If any actions are required, they will be listed in this table.

Conga Internal ID

 Description

CFS-629

Duplicate Version Histories are created when editing a Clause in Word.

Resolution Note: You must provide your connected user access to the REST_API_Approvals class. To perform this action, assign either the Conga CLM or Conga Redlining permission set to the connected user. A connected user is a user who is connected to the Contracts for Salesforce backend in the CLM Setup. This also includes changes to the java backend. If users are seeing errors when using Open in Word and saving, they should make sure they are upgraded to the latest version of Contracts for Salesforce.
