Upgrade Notes
For more information on the prerequisites and post-upgrade tasks, see Upgrading Conga Billing.
Before you upgrade the Conga Billing packages in your org to September '22 release, please note the following points:
- If you are upgrading from December '21 or May '22, you must stop using the custom field in Billing System Properties with the API name as ForecastGenerationBatchSize__c, which you may have created to configure the forecast generation batch size. Instead of the custom field, you must use the custom setting Forecast Generation Batch Size in Billing System Properties, which is available as a part of the Conga Billing managed package.
- If you are upgrading from a release older than Summer '21, you can directly start using the Forecast Generation Batch Size custom setting in Billing System Properties, which is available as a part of the Conga Billing managed package.
New Features
The following feature is new to Conga Billing in this release.
Configure Forecast Batch Size
Conga Billing introduces a new setting Forecast Generation Batch Size in Billing System Properties, which is available as a part of the Conga Billing managed package. You can use this setting to configure the batch size for forecast generation (maximum value is 2000). When the forecasting job is executed using the Apttus_Billing.BillingService.forecastBilling(proposal.Id, false) API in asynchronous mode, the Billing logic generates forecast in batches with the batch size configured in the custom setting (Forecast Generation Batch Size).
For more information, see Billing System Properties.

Fixed Issues
The following table lists the issues fixed in this release. If any actions are required, they will be listed in this table.
Case Number | Conga Internal ID | Description |
---|---|---|
00793743 | BIL-3707 | Conga Billing is not automatically approving credit memos after Invoice Run creates them. The credit memos remain in Draft status instead. This issue occurs when you are using Invoice Run with Run Type=Immediate, and have selected Auto Approve Credit Memos on the Invoice Run. |
00800480 | BIL-3704 | When you are generating a billing forecast for 6000+ lines, Conga Billing displays an error. Resolution Info: You must use the setting Forecast Generation Batch Size in Billing System Properties, which is available as a part of the Conga Billing managed package. When the forecasting job is executed using the Apttus_Billing.BillingService.forecastBilling(proposal.Id, false) API in asynchronous mode, the Billing logic generates forecast in batches with the batch size configured in this custom field. |
00798476 | BIL-3677 | Conga Billing does not create tax breakups in the current run if there was a failure with reference to tax calculation in the previous run. However, Conga Billing updates the tax on the invoice and credit memo for the current run. |
00798029 | BIL-3674 | When performing Credit and Rebill, Conga Billing updates the billing schedule to Pending Billing but the usage schedule remains at Invoiced or Pending Invoiced. Because of this, you cannot perform rating on newly-created usage inputs after credit and rebill. |
00781436 | BIL-3656 | On terminating an asset, Conga Billing does not generate a negative billing schedule to refund the full amount. |
