Multi‑Organization Navigation
Multi‑Organization Navigation (Organization Switching) lets users switch organization context without logging out and choose a default organization so users are taken there automatically at log in. It is ideal when users work across entities that maintain distinct configurations, data, or permissions.
Users can switch between different organizations (that they are associated with) within the Conga Advantage Platform without having to log out and log in back each time. Users can also set the default organization from their list of associated organizations to automatically navigate to the selected organization upon login. This feature is particularly useful when users are involved in multiple organizations or entities simultaneously, each requiring separate configurations, data access, or permissions.
Organization switching works with all Identity Providers (Conga IdP, SAML SSO, and Microsoft Entra) except Salesforce and Salesforce Sandbox.
- Multi-Organization Management: Users can easily manage and access multiple organizations from a single interface.
- Efficiency and Convenience: Instead of logging in and out of different accounts, organization switching enables users to switch contexts with a few clicks. This saves time and enhances productivity by reducing the need for repetitive login processes.
- Customized Access and Permissions: Each organization may have its own set of data, settings, and permissions. Organization switching allows users to access and modify these settings as per their roles or responsibilities within each organization.
For example, Users can leverage this feature to switch between their production and sandbox organizations and experiment with the new features and enhancements in a safe environment that doesn't disrupt their production environment.
Login Behavior for Users with Access to Multiple Organizations:
- Case 1: When a user logs in using a Preview instance URL, Conga ID automatically identifies the associated organization within the Preview environment and signs the user in accordingly.
- Case 2: When a user logs in using a Production instance URL, Conga ID automatically identifies the associated organization within the Production environment and signs the user in accordingly.
- Case 3: When a user logs in using the generic login URL, Conga ID automatically identifies and signs the user into their default organization, which may belong to either the Preview or Production environment.
