Running Data Sync on Demand

In cases where you need to initiate data sync manually, you can perform an on-demand data sync from the Data Sync UI.

Running Data Sync Manually

  • You must set up your data synchronization infrastructure before running data sync. For more information, see Data Sync Configuration.
  • You must review your source field values and set up Value Transformations (if required) to ensure that they match the formats used in the Conga Advantage Platform. For more information, see Transforming Field Values.
  1. Log in to the Conga Advantage Platform as an administrator.
  2. Click the App Launcher () icon from the top-left corner, then Admin Console > Data Sync. The Mapped Objects for Data Sync page appears.
  3. To synchronize the data for specific mapped and enabled objects, select them from the list.
    • By default, all enabled objects are included in the manual data sync. However, if you select specific enabled objects, only those selected objects will be considered for the sync.
    • If any disabled objects are inadvertently selected, they will be automatically ignored during the sync process.
    • You can enable or disable mapped objects for data sync using the Is Enabled? toggle in the list.
  4. Click Sync Now. A Confirmation dialog box appears with the following information:
    • A reminder to verify the provider type configured in External Integration before initiating the sync. User authentication is performed against the selected provider.
    • A note that user data sync triggers email notifications to users. To disable these, go to Admin Console > Organization > Disable New User Email Notification and set the value to Yes.
    • The number of objects selected for sync. Only enabled objects are synced. Disabled mappings or objects are ignored.
Note: The system determines the objects in scope for Pre-Sync Validation as follows:
    • If specific objects are selected: Validation runs only for those selected objects.
    • If no objects are selected: Validation runs for all objects where the Is Enabled? toggle is turned on and the Sync Direction is set to ETL.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to turn off welcome email notifications, if needed.
  6. Click Yes to proceed. The Preparing to Sync dialog box appears. The system runs Pre-Sync Validation before starting the sync. This usually takes a few seconds. After the checks are complete, one of the following occurs:

Select the synchronization method that suits your needs:

    • Full: Resyncs all records, including previously synced ones.

Note: It does not synchronize objects with complex designs that require custom logic for data transfer.

    Sync Attribute Data

Enable this toggle to sync attribute data (which may include fields, metadata, or additional information) associated with the object.

    Asset Based Sync

Enable this toggle to sync only asset attributes. This is useful for syncing asset attributes from the Conga CPQ application to Conga Advantage Platform.
