Asset Based Ordering for Bundle Products

Termination of the Bundle Products

When a bundle is subjected to a Terminate operation and is initiated for billing, the existing billing schedule records (BSRs) are either canceled or refunded depending on their invoice status. It is similar to performing a regular cancellation operation on a standalone line item. When a bundle is canceled:
  • The BSRs before the cancellation date are not touched.
  • The BSRs inside the contract term, if invoiced, are refunded through new BSRs.
  • The BSRs inside the contract term, if not invoiced, are canceled.
  • The components (options) of that bundle are also canceled without impacting the cancellation amount of the bundle.

Configuration

You have configured the bundle and options as follows:

Let's consider a new sale of a bundle product with two components (options) underneath. As per the above configuration, when the bundle is initiated for billing, the billing headers are generated for bundle and option A (because the setting Create Billing for Informational Products in a Bundle is set to Yes). There is no billing header generated for option B.

You canceled the bundle product effective from 15th July 2025 onward. The Billing application has received the delta price from the upstream system and created the billing records accordingly.
