CLM Feature Management

The Feature Toggle Management capability in CLM provides system administrators with centralized control over which newly released platform features are available to users within their organization. When new CLM features, such as Obligation Management or Contract Team Management, are introduced, they are initially disabled by default. This prevents new features from disrupting existing workflows or exposing incomplete functionality. It allows administrators to selectively enable or disable features for their organization, ensuring that new functionality can be adopted at the right time without impacting existing business processes.

The Feature Management page displays a searchable and filterable list of available CLM features, along with a description, a link to related documentation, and a toggle switch to control each feature's status.

Configuring CLM Feature Management

The Feature Management feature allows administrators to enable or disable CLM features based on organization's needs. This allows controlled roll-out of new functionality and ensures that only approved features are visible to end users.
Note:
  • New features are disabled by default for all customers.
  • Administrators cannot add or remove features manually.
  1. Go to CLM Admin > CLM Feature Management.
The page displays a list of the CLM features available for your environment.

Each row shows the following details:

    • Feature Name: The name of the feature (for example, Obligation Management).
    • Description: A short summary of the feature.
    • Documentation Link: URL to the detailed documentation.
    • Status: A toggle switch showing whether the feature is currently enabled or disabled.
  2. Switch the toggle on or off to enable or disable a feature.
Once the configuration is complete, the selected CLM features are enabled or disabled as per the toggle settings. If a feature is enabled, its related menus, workflows, reports, and data components become available to end users across the CLM application. If a feature is disabled, all associated elements—such as pages, actions, and data flows—are hidden or restricted, ensuring that end users cannot access or interact with the feature.

The updated feature status is applied immediately, allowing administrators to control feature visibility and usage in real time.
