Comparing Clauses Versions

To compare two versions of a clause, ensure that more than one version of the clause is available. This is a necessary condition for the comparison feature to be applicable.

  1. Go to the Contract Details page.
  2. In the LINKS panel, click Clauses.
  3. Click the clause name link to open the Clause Details page.
  4. Go to the Clause Content tab to view the comparison of two clauses.

If a clause has been revised several times during the negotiation process, the Version drop-down list displays different versions such as Version 1.0, Version 2.0, Version 3.0, and so on. You can select any version from this list to view the specific changes made in that iteration.

The Clause Content tab displays two versions of the clauses. Select a version from the drop-down menu to view a side-by-side comparison of both versions.

The comparison between the selected clause versions is now visible, with changes clearly indicated. Added or replaced text is highlighted in green, and deleted text is shown in red.
  5. Click Close.
