An error occurred logging activity: Character reference is an invalid XML character
Issue
An error occurred logging activity: Character reference "" is an invalid XML character.
This error occurs when trying to include the body of the letter in the activity logging when the Mail Merge template contains column breaks. Column breaks cannot be added to Salesforce activities.
What to Do
Omit the column breaks from the Mail Merge template OR select No (saves space) in the "Include body of the letter?" section in Step 7 of the Mail Merge Wizard.
