Advanced Word Templates

Adding Bar Codes to a Merge Template

You can add a bar code field to your template by changing the font of a field on your template to a bar-code font. You must have a TrueType bar-code font installed on the machine building the template. This font may also need to be installed on your server for rendering.

  1. Create a template. For more information, see Create a Template with Template Builder.
  2. Select the field on the template, and then set the font to the bar-code font.
  3. Test your template by merging your template in both "Same as Template" and "Adobe PDF".
