Composer Basics

Composer Quick Starts

You can use the Quick Start wizard to quickly get started with Composer solutions. The wizard allows you to select and deploy pre-built solutions complete with queries, templates, and behavior settings that are already configured.

Note:

Quick Starts are available in Composer managed package 8.15 and newer (see the Product Install Links to install or upgrade to Composer 8.15).

To access Composer Quick Start:

Salesforce Classic

Select All Tabs (+) → Conga Quick Start.

Salesforce Lightning Experience

Click the Conga Quick Start tab .

Available Quick Start Solutions:

Solution Name

Account Brief

This solution creates account briefs that use the Account Object. It includes pre-built queries and Word templates.
  • Pre-selects template
  • Output as PDF
  • Saves a copy to Notes & Attachments
  • Logs an Activity
  • Includes Account Name and current date in the output file name

Client Letter

This solution creates client letters that use the Contact Object. It includes a pre-built Word template.
  • Pre-selects template
  • Output as PDF
  • Save a copy to Chatter
  • Includes Contact Name and current date in the output file name

Donation

This solution creates donation receipts that use the Global Merge Object. It includes pre-built queries and a Word template.
  • Pre-selects Global Merge - Donation Receipt template
  • Output as PDF
  • Displays a message on the Background Mode dialog box
  • Delivers to the browser to save or open
  • Includes current date in the output file name

Invoice

This solution creates an invoice that uses the Order Object. It includes pre-built queries and a Word template.
  • Pre-selects Invoice template and Email template
  • Output as PDF
  • Displays a message on the Background Mode dialog box
  • Delivers to the user's browser, then returns the user to the Salesforce master record that initiated the merge
  • Includes Account Name and current date in the output file name

MSA (Master Service Agreement)

This solution creates master service agreements that use the Contract Agreement Object. It includes a pre-built queries, Word and email templates.

Warning:

This solution requires the installation of the Conga Contracts for Salesforce package.
  • Pre-selects template
  • Delivers via Email
  • Displays a message on the Background Mode dialog box
  • Includes Recursive Merge.
  • Includes Contract Agreement Account name in the output file name

NDA (Non-disclosure Agreement)

This solution creates non-disclosure agreements that use the Opportunity Object. It includes pre-built Word and email templates.
  • Pre-selects template
  • Output is the same as the template
  • Delivers via Salesforce Email
  • Displays a message on the Background Mode dialog box
  • Includes Opportunity Account name in the output file name

Sales Proposal

This solution creates sales proposals that use the Opportunity and Opportunity line item objects. It includes pre-built Word and email templates.
  • Pre-selects Proposal template and Email template
  • Output as PDF
  • Saves a copy to Chatter
  • Delivers via Email
  • Includes Opportunity Name and current date in the output file name

Sales Proposal

This solution creates a sales proposal that uses the Proposal Object and displays Proposal Line Items as well as any Proposal Line Items with a discount. It includes pre-built queries and a Word template.

Warning:

This solution requires the installation of the Conga Base Library, Conga Contract Lifecycle Management, and Conga Quote Management packages. To install the packages, use the Conga Install Center.

  • Output as PDF
  • Displays a message on the Background Mode dialog box
  • Includes Proposal Name and current date in the output file name
Sales Quotes

This solution creates sales quotes that use the Quote Object. It includes a pre-built Excel template.

Note:

The Quote object must be enabled for this solution.
  • Pre-selects template
  • Saves a copy to Notes & Attachments
  • Logs an Activity
  • Includes Quote Name and current date in the output file name

Quote

This solution creates a quote that uses the Opportunity and Opportunity line item objects. It includes a pre-built queries, Word and email templates.
  • Pre-selects template
  • Output as PDF
  • Displays a message on the Background Mode dialog box
  • Delivers via Salesforce Email
  • Includes Opportunity Account name and current date in the output file name

After you select a template, the template is created on your Conga Solutions tab. A button is created for you on the related Object. To use it, add the button to the page layout. To learn more about adding or removing buttons, see Add or Remove Buttons on Page Layouts.

Note:

You can use the wizard as many times as you want to deploy one or all of the Quick Start solutions.
