Configuring Conga Contracts for Salesforce for use with X-Author for Contracts
Prerequisites:
- Conga Contracts for Salesforce Latest Package
- X-Author for Contracts Latest Package
To configure Conga Contracts for Salesforce for use with X-Author for Contracts, take the following steps:
- Create a Template in X-Author for Contracts and check it in. See X-Author for Contracts 2.0 for more information.
- From the Salesforce navigation menu, search for Object Manager in the Quick Find search menu and click Object Manager.
- Click Contract Agreement.
- Click Page Layout Assignment.
- Click Edit Assignment.
- Under Page layout to use, select Unified CLM Layout from the dropdown menu.
- Click Save.
- Click on the Contract Agreement tab from the Salesforce navigation menu.
- Click New to create a New Contract Agreement.
- Fill out the required fields. Under the Templates section, select the template you created.
- Click Save.
Your Contract Agreement is now configured to use X-Author for document generation.
- In your Contract Agreement under the Details tab, there is a section called Template information that displays your selected Template.
- The Generate Document button uses MergeService for document generation.
