Enabling Contract AI

  • Contract AI is a separate package available for purchase for Contracts for Salesforce. Contact your account representative or Conga Support for more information on how to purchase this package for your organization.

  • For the Semantic Clause Comparison feature to work, you must ensure all of your remote site settings are Active.

Enabling Contract AI will allow you grant access to the Conga Copilot, Redline AI, and Clause Semantic Comparison features.
Warning: You cannot enable Contract AI for your organization if you have not purchased the Contract AI package and been granted access by Conga. If Conga has not enabled this feature for your organization, the following error displays if you attempt to enable Contract AI within Contracts for Salesforce: Feature flag not enabled for your Org. Kindly raise a Professional Service Request to get this enabled.
  1. Go to Conga CLM Setup.
  2. Under the Contracts AI section in the left menu, click Copilot and Redline AI or Clause Semantic Comparison.
  3. Click Edit to enter your configuration details manually. Otherwise, select a region and click Contract AI Auto-Configurator. Select which AI features you want to enable. Copilot and Redline and Clause Semantic Comparison are available for selection. Follow the remaining prompts in the Auto-Configurator window.
Note: You will need to run the auto-configurator on every different region you want to connect to.
  4. Once configuration is complete, refresh the settings page.
  5. Grant access to users either at the user or org level by clicking the Assign Contracts AI Features to Users link. The system checks for user permissions first, and then checks by profile level. If neither is set, the system checks by organization level. If a user has all three permission types set, priority is given to user-level settings.
    • If both Contract Copilot and Redline AI are enabled, users will see the Launch Copilot and Launch Redline AI buttons.

    • If only Contract Copilot is enabled, users will only see the Launch Copilot Button.

    • If only Redline AI is enabled, users will only see the Redline AI button.

    • If Clause Semantic Comparison is enabled, users will see the AI Comparison toggle button in the Clause Playbook during Negotiate or True-Up mode.

  6. Add the Contracts for AI Documents button to the page layout where you want the launch buttons available.
Your organization is now configured for Contracts AI. If you encounter any Contract AI related errors, run the Contract AI Auto-Configurator again.
