Company Relationships

Editing a Company Relationship

When a relationship between two companies is captured, you can review the information surrounding the relationship from the Relationship Profile in either Company Profile. You can also identify companies that have relationships by running a search query.

Company Profile

  1. Open the Company Profile containing the Relationship Profile you want to review.
  2. In the Company Profile, click the Relationships link in the Links section of the screen.
  3. In the Relationships browse screen, click on a relationship record to display its Company Relationship Profile.

Search Query

A search query to find a particular type of relationship between companies, such as Parent Of, Child Of, or Relates To.

  1. Click Search in the Navigation Toolbar, and select the Search Query link in the menu.
  2. In the Query Info view of the screen, click New in the toolbar.
  3. When the screen refreshes, set the following hierarchy in the Result Type list to search for a company relationship:
    1. Company→Relationship
    2. Click in the list to display the hierarchy, and click the > icon to the left of the Company folder.
    3. Scroll down and click the Relationship folder.
  4. In the Criteria section, set the search hierarchy for the relationship type in the field list:
    1. Company→Relationship→Relationship Type
    2. Click in the list to display the hierarchy, and click the > icon to the left of the Company folder.
    3. Scroll past the alphabetical listing of fields in the Company Profile, and click the > icon to the left of the Relationship folder.
    4. Scroll down and click the Relationship Type sub-folder.
  5. In the Criteria section, define the operator and value(s) for the search:
    • Select In in the inclusion list.
    • Select the relationship type in the value list.
  6. Click Execute in the toolbar to run the query.
  7. When the Results view of the screen displays, click a search record to display its Company Profile.
  8. In the Company Profile, click the Relationships link in the Links section of the screen.
  9. In the Relationships browse screen, click on a relationship record to display its Company Relationship Profile.
