Adding a Company Person

A company person is an individual who is a point of contact (POC) for a company stored in Conga Contracts. A legal entity person is a POC for a company that has been marked as a legal entity. You can add a company person from your Person Browse screen or from the Company Profile.

You can send email messages to a company person from Conga Contracts, and they can respond to the messages, which are stored as threads. Although a company person cannot access Conga Contracts directly, they can participate in document/esignature packages and supplier registrations using the Portal, and provide their electronic signature on documents in theeSignature cloud.

Tip:

Before adding a company person, ensure that the person has not already been added to Conga Contracts by running a search. If you want to add a person, but not link them to a particular company, add the person as an external person.

  1. Click Tools in the Navigation Toolbar to display the menu, and then click the People link.
  2. In the Person Browse screen, click Add Company Person in the toolbar.
  3. In the New Company Person dialog box:
    Tip:

    You can also search for a company using any of the other fields in the Search list.

    • Click in the Company Name field if the company already has a Company Profile.
    • In the Search field, enter the first few letters of the company name, and click the magnifying glass.
    • Click on the company name record to select it, and populate the field.
    • Click Submit.
    • When the Company Profile displays, scroll down to the People screen.
    • Provide the required information for the company person, and the known optional information.
    • Click Save.
  4. Click the New Company link to enter a company person for a new company.
  5. In the New Company Entry screen, provide the required information for the new company, and the known optional information.
  6. Click Save.
  7. When the Company Profile displays, click the People link at the bottom of the screen.
  8. Click Add Person in the toolbar.
  9. Provide the required information for the company person, and the known optional information.
  10. Click Save.
