Reviewing Revisions to a Clause

A revision history record is automatically generated whenever an edit is made to the text for a clause. The default view in the Clause History screen is the current version of the clause, but you can also view previous versions, along with the name of the user who made the revision.

You can search and report on the text revisions that have been made to the clauses in your library.

  1. Locate the clause whose revisions you want to review.
    • Click the + icon for the clause to display its text and verify you are reviewing the correct clause.
  2. Click on the clause record to display its profile.
  3. In the Clause Profile screen, click View History in the toolbar for the Clause Text field.
  4. When the screen refreshes, view the last revision(s) made to the clause.
    • Text that has been deleted displays with a pink background and contains the strike-through feature. Text that has been added displays with a light green background. The Current list displays the name of the person who made the last revision to the clause text, along with the revision date. The Previous list displays the name of the person who made the previous revision to the clause text, along with the revision date.
  5. (Optional) Review previous revisions to the clause:
    • Select another person/date in the Previous list.
    • View the revisions made to the clause in the earlier version.
    • If there is more than one previous version of the clause, you can view the differences between the revisions by making the appropriate selections in the Previous and Current lists.
  6. Click Hide History to close the history view.
  7. Click Back to Browse in the toolbar to return to the Clause Browse screen.
