My Document and eSignature Packages Overview

The Document Packages link will be present in your My Place menu when you have been invited to be a member or Administrator of a document package, or when you are a signer, Administrator, or participant in an eSignature package.

A document package is created using the Document Package Wizard, and is typically used to create a package that stores the contract documents that need to be negotiated prior to finalizing a deal, while providing both program users and company contacts (and/or external people) access to the documents. If you are a member or an Administrator of a document package, the Document Packages link displays in your Documents menu. As a member/Administrator of a document package, you can participate in the activities for the package, which include checking a document out, making edits, and then uploading the revised document to the package as the newest version of the contract.

Similarly, if you are a member or Administrator of an eSignature package, the Document Packages link in your Documents menu will take you to the Document Packages screen, which houses both eSignature and Document Packages. An eSignature package is created using the eSignature Package Wizard, and is typically used to create a package that stores the final contract document, which is ready for electronic signature, while providing both program users and company contacts (and/or external people) access to the document.

For a document package, program users participate in the package from Conga Contracts, while company contacts and external parties participate in the document package from the Portal. For an eSignature package, program users can sign the document in Conga Contracts or in the DocuSign/Adobe Sign cloud, along with the company contacts/or and external parties for the contract.
