Locating a Global Document
You can quickly locate any of the global documents that have been shared with you using the Search option in the Global Documents browse screen.
- Click My Place in the Navigation Toolbar to display the menu, and then click the Global Documents link.
- (Optional) In the Global Documents screen, hover over the Search label until it turns blue Search, and then click on it to display a list of searchable fields. Click in the check box to the left of the fields you want to search.
- In the Search field, enter the first few letters of the document name, or other identifier, and click the magnifying glass. To clear the filter, click x.
- You can also search for a global document using any of the other fields in the Search list. To search for a name, word, value, or text string, that is not the leading text/value for any of the searchable fields for the document, precede your search criteria with the wild card symbol, the asterisk (*). For example, to search for all global MS Word documents, enter *msword in the Search field, and make sure File Type is selected in the Search list.
- Click on the document record to display the Global Document Profile.
