Events Overview
The Events feature is available from both the Contract and Company Profiles and is used to set up email alerts for key events in the life of a contract or important dates for a company. For example, a contract event could be the date on which a contract is set to renew or expire, while a company event could be the date on which financial information must be updated or an insurance certificate expires. An event can be created for a single occurrence, or an event series can be set up for an event that is repeated on a regular basis.
Once an event is created, Conga Contracts sends an email message, or event alert, to the designated recipients. The message is sent prior to the event date, and the user who creates the event determines the number of days prior to the event date that the message is sent. A reminder for the event can also be set during the event creation process to send a follow-up email reminding recipients about the upcoming event if the event has not been closed by the event alert date.
Conga Contracts automatically generates weekly (or daily) Event Alert Notification Reports and emails the reports to the event owner, as well as those users who subscribe to the event. These reports are designed to help event owners in identifying the events that need to be completed or closed.
Tip: Understanding the way in which events are managed in Conga Contracts will help you in setting up your event alerts.
