Configure Conga Advantage Platform

After successfully changing the password, you can access the Conga Advantage Platform to start setup tasks like configuring external integrations and establishing API-to-API connections.

Configuring External Integrations

The External Integration tab allows Microsoft Dynamics 365 administrator to view and manage users authorized through external organizations. You can add one or more external integrations; but, you can make only one as a default IDP.

  1. Log in to the Conga Platform as an admin user. A Conga Platform welcome page is displayed.
  2. Click the Admin Console tile.
    A Platform Administration page is displayed.
  3. Click Organization.
  4. Open the External Integrations tab and click Add New and select Microsoft. A New External Integration pop-up window is displayed.
  5. Click Authorize, to open the selected IDP's login screen.
  6. Login with onboarded Microsoft Dynamics 365 credentials.If you get any access-related prompts during this process, please allow full access.

    When you log in, the selected identity provider's external identifier auto-populates the External ID field.

  7. Enter the type of this integration in the Type text field. It is a free-form text field. You can add types such as Dev, QA, UAT, Prod, etc.
  8. Add the description.
  9. Enter Email Domain and Display Name in the respective fields.
  10. Enable the Default IDP toggle to make it a Default External Integration IDP.
  11. Click Save.
Configure the Conga API Connections.

Configuring an API to API connection

You must establish an API-to-API connection between your Microsoft Dynamics and Conga Advantage Platform to ensures seamless communication and data exchange.

  1. On the Organization page, click the Conga API Connections tab and Add API-to-API Connection.
  2. Enter values in the following fields:

    Field

    Description

    External Integration

    Select the respective External Identifier for which you want to configure the connection. The external identifier list is populated based on the External Integration you added on the External Integration page.

    Client Name

    Enter the client's name.

    Description

    Enter the appropriate description.

  3. Click Save & Generate Client Secret to generate the Client ID and Secret.
  4. Click Copy next to Client ID and Client Secret. Use these details when configuring Microsoft Dynamics.
