Creating an Option Group

Option groups are a type of category that is used to group option products together to be associated with bundles. Option groups are further categorized into two types Shared and Standalone. You can create these option groups in the parent option group's details page.

To create an option group

  1. Go to ADMIN SETUP > Product Administration > Option Groups .
    The Option Groups page is displayed.
  2. Click Create New.
    The Option Group details page is displayed.
  3. On the Details tab, enter the following details:
    • Click Browse file or Drag and drop the file to upload and attach an image to the option group. This step is not mandatory.
    • Option Group Name: Enter a name for the option group.
    • Label: The label is populated automatically based on the option group name you enter.
    • Type: Select the type of option group:
      • Shared: This type of option group can be associated with multiple bundles.
      • Standalone: This type of option group is bundle-specific.
    • Description: Enter a description of the option group.
    • Long Description: Enter a long description to provide detailed information about an option group, clarify its purpose, and improve understanding during product configuration. The description appears directly on the configuration page.
    • Expanded By Default: Turn this setting on to expand the option groups in the config page based on your requirement.
  4. Click Save.
