Defining Information for a Rebate

Enter the information for a rebate. Based on the type of rebate selected, some of the following fields are either enabled, disabled, or default selections are displayed.
  1. Go to ADMIN SETUP > Incentive Management > Rebates.
    The Rebates page is displayed.
  2. Click Create New.
  3. Select a rebate type and click Continue. Options are:
    • Buy X Get X
    • Buy X Get Y
    • For Every X Get X
    • For Every X Get Y
  4. Enter the following details on the Information page:

    Rebate NameEnter a name for the rebate. This name is displayed along with the rebate information. For example, whenever you look-up the rebate information that is applicable to a specific product, the rebate name that you provided here is displayed.
    Applied toYou can apply rebates on line item and on order levels. Select from the following options:

    a. Line Item: To apply a rebate on line item level. This line item is the primary object to which your rebate is applied.

    b. Summary Group: To apply rebate on the order level.

    Effective DateDate from which the rebate is applicable. If a date is not entered, by default, it is set to current date (date when you create the rebate record) - 10 years.
    Expiration DateDate on which the rebate expires. Should be greater than the effective or the start date. If a date is not entered, by default, it is set to today + 10 years from the effective date or the current date.
    SummaryRebate name, program name, program description, and scope is displayed in real-time.
  5. Click Save to save the changes or click Save & Next to move to the next tab.
