Initiating Quote Collaboration – Sales Representative

In the Digital Sales Room (DSR), the sales representative initiates collaboration by creating and sharing a quote with the buyer. They control the buyer's access level and enable interaction through a secure quote link.
  1. Create a quote in the CPQ UI. To create a quote in CPQ, refer Creating a Quote
  2. Review and update details as needed and set the status to Generated.
  3. Click Next Steps.
  4. Click Share with Buyer.
  5. Select the appropriate Authentication Type and Access Type level for the buyer in the Share Quote Link - Buyer screen.

    Depending on the access provided by the Sales Representative while sharing the quote, the Buyer may receive one of the following access types:

    Guest UserAccess Without Login – View Access Only (Accept/Reject)Buyers can review the quote but cannot modify any fields. They can accept or reject the quote.They can also add a comment or request change.
    Logged in UserAccess With Login – View Access Only (Accept/Reject)Buyers can view the quote with no editable fields. They can accept, reject, or request changes, and can add comments.
    Access With Login – View Access with Quantity/Term ChangeBuyers can edit Quantity, Start Date, and End Date. Other fields remain disabled, and asset-related updates are not supported. All Buyer actions (Accept/Reject/Request changes) are available.
    Access With Login – Edit Access (Add/Remove/Configure Cart)Buyers can add, remove, and configure line items. Most editable fields are enabled. All Buyer actions (Accept/Reject/Request changes) remain available. They can also generate and present the quote.
  6. Share the quote with buyer. Refer Sharing a Quote with a Buyer topic to share the quote.
Buyer receives the quote with a quote link. Quote is in the Presented status in E-Commerce application and "Presented - Collaboration in Progress" tag appears.
