Administrator Profile Security

Administrator profile security controls whether System Administrators can access Conga Orchestrate apps, tabs, objects, and Visualforce pages.

Profile Editors

Salesforce provides two profile editors. The editor that opens depends on the Enhanced Profile User Interface setting in your org.

  • Standard profile editor: Opens when Enhanced Profile User Interface is disabled. All profile settings appear on one page.
  • Enhanced profile editor: Opens when Enhanced Profile User Interface is enabled. Profile settings are grouped into categories, and you edit and save each category separately.

The settings that you configure are the same in both editors. Only the navigation differs.

Identifying the Profile Editor

Check the Enhanced Profile User Interface setting to determine which profile editor opens in your org.

  1. In Setup, enter User Management Settings in the Quick Find box, and then select User Management Settings.
  2. Find Enhanced Profile User Interface.
    • If the toggle shows Enabled, you use the enhanced profile editor.
    • If the toggle shows Disabled, you use the standard profile editor.

You know which profile editor to use. You can change this setting at any time. The change applies to all profiles in your org.
