Quotes Management

Recalculate Tax for Quote

After you modify products, quantities, or pricing in Edit Quote mode, the application retains the existing tax values and displays a notification if the changes may affect taxes. You can use Calculate Tax to recalculate taxes only when required.
  1. Open the desired quote or click Review Your Quote after creating/requesting a quote.
    Quote Details page appears.
  2. Click Edit in the Line Items section.
    Calculate Tax button appears above the Price Summary.
  3. Modify products, quantities, pricing, or other line item details as required.The application retains the existing tax values and displays a notification indicating that the changes may affect taxes. The application does not recalculate taxes automatically. You can click Calculate Tax to update the tax values for the modified line items and the price summary.
  4. Click Calculate Tax to recalculate tax.
    The application recalculates taxes and updates the line items and the Price Summary.
  5. Click the Sales Tax information icon for a line item to view the recalculated tax details.
    Note: The application retains existing tax values when you enter Edit Quote mode. The application does not recalculate taxes automatically. You can click Calculate Tax to update the tax values for the modified line items and the price summary.
