New Features
The following features are new to Test Author in this release.
New Services and Seed Data
- High Volume Doc Gen - Reusable Conga Test Step and Test Case: Seed default test data for High Volume Doc Gen with reusable Conga Test Step and reusable Conga Test Case to support 0-60 test flows. This enables consistent and repeatable testing scenarios for implementation teams.
- Added New Services, Features, and API: Test Author now includes three new services: Conga Drive, Email, and High Volume Merge. Alongside these, 11 new features associated with these services have been introduced to enhance functionality. Additionally, new reusable Conga API templates have been added to support High Volume Doc Gen 0-60 Test Flows.
Improvements in Test Step Functionality
- Functionality to Disable Test Step in Test Case: Introduced the ability to disable individual test steps within a test case. This feature allows script owners to dynamically control the execution of test cases. For more details, see Managing the Test Step Configuration Panel which is part of Creating a Test Case topic. For more information see, Managing the Test Step Configuration Panel and Editing a Test Case.
- Enhancement for Disabling Test Step: Support has been added to disable individual test steps without deactivating the entire test case. You can toggle the Active button for a test step, which causes that step to be skipped during execution. The test case itself remains active, and its overall execution status is unaffected. In the test case results panel, each test step displays an appropriate message indicating whether it was inactive or disabled. For more information see, Deactivating a Test Step, Editing a Test Case, and Managing the Test Step Configuration Panel.
- Root Index Data Extraction and Reuse in Test Steps: Extract the entire response payload from the root index and store it in an extracted variable. Use the extracted variable to update the full request payload at the root index level in subsequent API steps. For more details, see Managing the Use Variable Panel and Managing the Extract Variable Panel. For more information, see Managing the Extract Variable Panel and Managing the Use Variable Panel.
