Defining Spare Parts Views

Once the catalog has been set-up and once your products have been defined and linked to their spare parts, you can work on the definition of the spare parts views.

A spare parts view is attached to a product and is linked to a RMO Image (corresponding to the view). A spare parts view has a list of links to the spare parts it contains.

Each view shows hotspots which link specific areas in the image to the corresponding spare parts products within the product structure - as illustrated in the figure below.

A spare parts view is a product view. One product can have many views defined as parameters of the workspace (user types).

Warning: Please beware that:

1 Hotspot Id corresponds to several clickable areas

1 Hotspot Id corresponds to a unique spare part product breadcrumb (and vice versa).

Spare part views cleaning

Some modeling tools and API are available to ensure the spare parts views consistency.

CHECKING SPARE PART VIEWS

Two buttons (for the current view and for all the views of the current product) are available in the toolbar to launch the following controls:

  • Identification of the hotspot which are not associated to any product (Info)
  • Listing of the overlaping hotspot areas in the schematics (Info)
  • Identification of the invalid associations between hotspot ids and product breadcrumbs (for example, a schematic diagram can embed a hotspot pointing to a breadcrumb that does not exist anymore in the product data structure) (Error).

CLEANING ALL VIEWS

This function removes the association between hotspots and invalid product breadcrumbs.
