Stress, Performance, and Scalability Tests
PROS ensures the overall performance and scalability of the CPQ cloud platform. Conducting automated stress tests, performance, or load tests, requires a subscription to a
specific Performance Sandbox (if not already part of your PROS Smart CPQ current subscription) and PROS prior written approval.
You can partner with your Professional Service representative to work and coordinate on the test campaign organization.
You must follow these instructions:
- Submit the request by creating a ticket to PROS Support describing your test strategy, target environment, set-up, and planning.Note: Performance tests must be submitted for approval at least one month in advance of the testing date(s). Requests over 30 days duration will not be approved. In this case, multiple requests are required.
- Please include the following information in the ticket description:
- Description of the nature of the test and the specific volumes involved,
- Test plan and test cases,
- Method used for loading the data,
- Description of the test script you will be using to test,
- Date and time frame for the test including expected duration,
- Performance Sandbox Environment or TenantID where tests will occur,
- Contact information for the person executing the tests in case PROS support needs to make contact,
- Business justification for testing.Note: PROS Cloud team may request a meeting to get additional information before giving their approval.
- Please include the following information in the ticket description:
- Upon approval from PROS, the test campaign can be executed as planned.
- During the execution phase of the tests PROS role will be limited to only monitoring the platform and ensuring that testing causes no issues with our services.
- PROS does not provide overall metrics or server logs for the performance testing period, nor provide or interpret results from your testing.
- If specific requests or information are needed, or if any type of additional assistance is required, we encourage you to work with your Professional Service representative.Warning: Outside of this process, performance testing is strictly prohibited. All non-authorized performance tests on Smart CPQ will engage the customer’s responsibility if the tests performed impact the SLA of their application or any other customer application running on PROS Cloud. Unapproved testing is subject to throttling and blocking.
