Installation
Install the CPQ Package
PREREQUISITES FOR CPQ INTEGRATION PACKAGE
Before starting the installation of the CPQ package, check that your Salesforce environment matches the following prerequisites:
Once you have logged in as an administrator, you will have the possibility to enter the Setup module in Salesforce:
In order to see if the Chatter is enabled, proceed as follows:
- Click on Setup
- Click on Customize in “App Setup”
- Click on Chatter
- Click on Settings
The Chatter Settings page will indicate if the Chatter is enabled for your organization or not:
DOWNLOAD THE PACKAGE
Download and install the CPQ package from AppExchange using the link sent by PROS Customer Services.
We advise you to choose to grant access to admins only. Then during the post-installation steps you will be able to refine the access to PROS Quote entities.
Enter your password and click on Install.
Then, approve the Third-Party access and click on Continue:
You should see the following screen:
Check the Installed Package
After having installed the package, the following screen should be displayed in the “App setup > Deploy > Installed package” section:
It gives an overview of the installed components.
Check the Installed Components
CUSTOM OBJECTS
- Click on Setup
- Click on Create in “App Setup”
- Click on Objects
You should now see the following section:
The custom objects of the CPQ package are listed here:

| PROS Additional Context | The [PROS Additional Context] object maps some SFDC fields on CPQ fields. It allows to perform a quick change on these fields' values within Force.com and to have the whole solution configuration run again in CPQ and synchronized in the CRM. |
| PROS Mapping Set | The [PROS Mapping Set] object contains the definition of the communication between Salesforce and CPQ objects. It lists the entities and the fields that can be exchanged between both world and how they are updated. |
| PROS Quote | The [PROS Quote] object contains header information about the active release of a quote. It corresponds to the current working version of the quote. |
| PROS Quote Content | The [PROS Quote Content] contains the content information of the active quote release. The XML representation of the quote content is attached as a Note&Attachment object. |
| PROS Quote Release | The [PROS Quote Release] contains the Force.com information related to a given quote release. |
| PROS Master Contract | The [PROS Master Contract] is the contract object grouping all the contract for a given deal |
| PROS Contract | The [PROS Contract] is the object supporting the contract management, amendment and renewal |
| PROS Contract Line Items | The [PROS Contract Line Items] is the object representing the quote lines items in a given PROS Contract |
| Custom1 | The [Custom1] entity allows to extend the standard PROS Quote capabilities by adding a custom object and benefit from Force.com parameterization capabilities. Please contact your preferred PROS Professional Service contact for more details. |

In order to check whether the necessary Visualforce Pages have been installed, proceed as follows:
- Click on Setup
- Click on Develop in “App Setup”
- Click on Pages
You should now see the following section:

| CPQQuoteReleaseDel | The page that overrides the "Delete" function for a Quote Release. It ensures that the content of a quote release (external hosting) is deleted synchronously upon a release deletion |
| CPQQuoteReleaseView | The page that overrides the "Edit" function for a Quote Release. A Quote Release can only be edited by setting "active" a particular release and then by clicking the "Edit" button within the "Overview" tab of a quote. Quote release information cannot be edited directly by pressing the "Edit" button in front of the releases list: That's why the function is overridden. |
| CPQErrorPage | The page used to warn the user whenever the part of CPQ hosted outside Salesforce.com is unavailable (because of maintenance operations). It is also used as a general error page to display errors and warning to the end-user |

In order to check whether the necessary Apex Triggers have been installed, proceed as follows:
- Click on Setup
- Click on Develop in “App Setup”
- Click on Apex Triggers

The Apex Triggers which have been installed are listed here:

| CPQUpdateQuoteEntity | The trigger invoked when creating or updating the Quote Content object related to a Quote. It synchronizes the content and header information of a PROS Quote. |

| CPQInheritAddresses | The trigger, invoked when saving a brand new quote, fills the BillTo, ShipTo and SoldTo addresses with the addresses of the primary contact or the account if no address has been specified howsoever. |
| RefreshQuoteContent | The trigger, invoked when saving the Additional Context, refreshes the PROS quote fields in SFDC mapped on CPQ fields. |

In order to check whether the necessary Apex Triggers have been installed, proceed as follows:
- Click on Setup
- Click on Develop in “App Setup”
- Click on Components
You should now see the following section:

In order to check whether the necessary Custom Settings have been installed, proceed as follows:
- Click on Setup
- Click on Develop in “App Setup”

CHATTER APPLICATIONS
In order to check whether the necessary chatter apps have been installed, proceed as follows:
- Click on Mobile administration in “App Setup”
- Click on Mobile Navigation

CHATTER ACTIONS
The chatter actions delivered with the package are linked with the PROS quote object. So, in order to check whether the necessary chatter actions have been installed, proceed as follows:
- Click on Setup
- Click on Create in “App Setup”
- Click on Objects
- Click on the PROS Quote object name
- Go in the Buttons, links and actions section
You should now see the following section:
