Interface Overview

The settings page allows you to define global properties for your quote model. This page contains 2 sections available in the left pane:

  • Locales/Currencies - defines which locales (languages) and currencies are available for your quote model
  • Preferences - defines preferences at quote level

Select the section on the left and edit the information in the window on the right.

Locales/Currencies

The Locales/Currencies definition is divided in 3 sections:

  • Data locale
  • Display locale
  • Supported currencies

DATA LOCALE

In this section, you can define which data locales are available for your quote model. The data locale corresponds to the locale (language) of your data (the content of your quote). From the dropdown list, you can select which locales are supported and you can add a new one by clicking on Create locale.

When you click on Create locale, you must define a language and a region.

Then, you can choose which locale will be used by default in your quote model.

Note: If you are using a CRM, the data locale is inherited from the CRM. The value from the CRM will override the default value defined here.

DISPLAY LOCALE

In this section, you can define which locale can be used in your quote model for display purposes. This locale drives the language used to display Steps, Pages, Titles, headers, columns, etc. You can select the supported locales or add a new one.

Then you must choose which locale will be used as a fallback. When there is no translation available for the selected display locale, the fallback locale will be used.

Note: All translations defined in the Quote Designer are done for the display locale. This locale can be selected at runtime from the Settings menu

SUPPORTED CURRENCIES

In this section, you can define which currencies are available for your quote model. The list of supported currencies corresponds to the currencies available for the system field

_SYS_REF_CURRENCY (it drives the currency used to store monetary values). Use the dropdown menu to select which currencies are supported. You can add a new one by clicking Create currency code.

Add a new currency by entering the currency code.

Choose which currency will be used by default in your quote model.

Note: If you are using a CRM, the currency is inherited from the CRM. The value from the CRM will override the default value defined here.

Preferences

On the preference page, you can define some global settings on preferences.

HELP INFORMATION

  • Help URL: An external URL can be set. Then, at runtime, under the Help menu, you can open this URL in a new tab. By default, the label of this link is Product Help. You can change it in the Translations section.

PERIOD MANAGEMENT

  • Allow missing period: Enables you to create missing periods in a contract. By default, missing

    periods are not allowed.

OTHER

  • Show unauthorized values: when a dynamic filter is defined, some values are displayed in red if they are unauthorized for the previously selected value. This flag allows hiding these values displayed in red.
  • Prefix on pasted elements: when a line is copied and then pasted, a prefix Copy of is added if this flag is enabled.
  • SYS_ROW_QUANTITY considered as BigDecimal in a formula: you can choose to manage quantities in the quote formula under the form of integers (default) or Big Decimal numbers.
