Managing the Test Step Panel

In the Test Step panel, you can add the test steps in the required sequence. Select the service and features drop-down lists and then use the search to narrow the results. Only those test steps which are in active mode are displayed. If more than one test steps are created using a single template, then an arrow is displayed next to the template name. Click on the arrow to view the associated test steps.

After you add the test steps, which could be a large number, you can use the search to locate the required test step. You can clone, delete, and rearrange the sequence of the test steps in this panel. If you want to execute a particular test step more than once then use the clone option. A cloned test step is always added at the end, you must drag-drop it to the required position.

  1. In the Test Step panel, click Add Test Steps.
  2. Select a service from the drop-down list.
  3. Select a feature from the drop-down list and click Show Templates. All the templates with active test steps associated with the selected service and feature are displayed in the left pane.
  4. Search by template or test step name and click the plus () icon in the template row to add a test step in the right pane. Repeat the process to add more test steps.
  5. Click the three vertical dots next to the test step name to clone or delete the test step.
  6. Click the six vertical dots and drag-drop to change the sequence of the test steps.
  7. Click the cross on the top-right corner to save and close the panel.
  8. Review the test steps and click Next to add the test data for each test step.
