The following is a summary of features introduced in the Winter 2017 release.
In-Flight Order Changes
You can now change orders after order confirmation and before fulfillment. You can do the following:
- Add a new order line item
- Change an existing order line item
Changes to an existing order line item include modification of quantity, subscription dates, discounts, and other pricing parameters.
You can use the action "Undo Amend Order" on the order or the corresponding API UndoAmendOrder to revert an order after it is amended.
You can now cancel orders after order confirmation and before fulfillment. Only orders for which none of the order line items are fulfilled can be cancelled. The "Cancel" action is available on the order record as a button, or you can call the API CancelOrder.
You can use the action "Undo Cancel Order" on the order or the corresponding API UndoCancelOrder to revert the cancellation of an order.
Version history is now tracked for in-flight order changes and cancellations.
Clone Order with Lines
You now have the option to clone an order along with its line items. Use the "Clone Order With Line Items" action on the order. Note: Administrators must add the button to the page layout to make the clone action available.
Customer Purchase Order
You can now use the Customer Purchase Order object to capture customer purchase order information, purchase order item details, and the original document as an attachment. Customer purchase orders can be used to create one or more sales orders.
