Install Conga Quote Generation

Follow the steps below to install the Conga Quote Generation from the Salesforce AppExchange.

The Salesforce org must have CPQ installed before installing Conga Quote Generation.

  1. Click this link to access the Conga Quote Generation AppExchange listing.
  2. Click Get It Now and choose whether to install in a Production or Sandbox org
  3. Agree to the terms and conditions and then click Confirm and Install.
  4. Select Install for All Users and click Install.
  5. Agree to grant access to third-party web sites and click Continue.

Setup Conga Quote Generation

After successfully installing CPQ from the Salesforce AppExchange, follow the steps below to set up and begin using Conga Quote Generation.

Salesforce handles the provisioning of Conga Quote Generation Permission Set licenses to environments.

Configure the Conga Composer CFQ Connected App:

  1. Navigate to Salesforce Setup.
  2. Type in "Connected Apps" in the Quick Find search box and click Manage Connected Apps.
  3. Click Edit next to to the Conga Composer CFQ Connected App.
  4. Change the Permitted Users field value to Admin approved users are pre-authorized and click OK.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Navigate back into the Conga Composer CFQ Connected App and click Manage Profiles.
  7. Select the user profile that will use Conga Quote Generation and click Save.

Enable Deploy Metadata for Non-Certified Package Versions via Apex:

  1. Navigate to Salesforce Setup.
  2. Type in "Apex Settings" in the Quick Find search box and click Apex Settings.
  3. Enable the Deploy Metadata from Non-Certified Package Versions via Apex setting by checking the checkbox field.
  4. Click Save.

Assign the Necessary Profile Permissions to Conga Quote Generation Users:

  1. To edit profile permissions, navigate to Setup → Manage Users → Profiles.
  2. For every profile that runs Conga Quote Generation:
    1. Minimum of Reading Access to all custom Conga Objects (for example, Conga Collections, Conga Collection Solutions, Conga Email Tables).
    2. Minimum of Reading Access to all Objects and Fields included in a Conga Template.
      Note: Keep in mind, the most restrictive settings apply, so if a user has visibility to a field but not the Object, they cannot successfully merge data from that field).
    3. Create permissions to the Documents object is required if the user will utilize email functionality in Composer.
    4. Enable Modify Metadata Through Metadata API Functions under System Permissions.
    5. Enable API Enabled under System Permissions.
    6. Add the following Custom Metadata Types as Enabled Custom Metadata Types:
      1. Salesforce CPQ: Conga Quotes.APXTCFQ.Composer Setting
      2. Salesforce CPQ: Conga Quotes.APXTCFQ.Conga Solution Export Environment
      3. Salesforce CPQ: Conga Quotes.APXTCFQ.Conga Solution Export Setting
      4. Salesforce CPQ: Conga Quotes.APXTCFQ.Connected App Setting
