External components goal is to extend the predefined CPQ User Interface component library.

The following external containers used to embed custom UI elements can be built and then called from the Layout XML file:

• externalBox/ externalFlyer: The externalBox (externalFlyer) purpose is to display dynamic information representing the current configuration or additional information for the Catalog.
• externalValueSelector (Conf. Only) The externalValueSelector purpose is to provide new ways to input data in the configuration dialog.
• externalAction: The external action purpose is to provide a functionality not already implemented by the predefined actions of the application.

Each externalComponent can interact with the engine and the user interface.
